FAQs

When is the RSVP deadline? March 31, 2019

What is there to do in Bali? Better question is what ISN'T there to do in Bali? Bali is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world for good reason - there is a plethora of attractions including temples, waterfalls, hiking, monkey forests, scuba diving, surfing, beaches, markets, bars, clubs, etc. There are several lists and resources online, but feel free to reach out to us if you need recommendations! We recommend Bali Customized Tours for general exploring and Bali Fun Diving for scuba diving. As a reminder, please RSVP with us if you would like to join for the North Bali Tour on Sunday, May 12th!

Where should I stay before/after the wedding? Kuta, Seminyak, and Canggu (and surrounding areas) are great areas to stay if you’re looking for a plethora of restaurants, shopping, and bars/beach clubs. They tend to be a bit touristy but are the happening areas. If you want something more spiritual and relaxing, Ubud is a lovely area surrounded by rice patties and forests.

What is the weather like in May in Bali? Average temperature is 82°F / 28°C (wear SPF!) and low temperature (in the evening) is 73°F / 23°C. We expect very little rain but high levels of humidity.

Do I need any vaccinations or medication before traveling? Unless you're planning to go into more rural areas of Bali (places that are not a part of standard tours), your standard vaccinations should have you covered.

Can I get around Bali with English? Bali is no stranger to tourists, and most locals can speak basic English, especially in more touristy areas like Uluwatu and Nusa Dua.

Should I carry cash? Credit card is not universally accepted, and it is a good idea to carry cash with you. ATMs are easy to find in the commercial parts of Bali. As a warning, the largest denomination of the Indonesian rupiah is 100,000 IDR (equivalent of ~US$7) and many ATMs only carry 50,000 IDR as a maximum denomination. Be prepared for a thick wallet!

How should I get to the wedding? Pandawa Cliff Estate is a private villa, and your cab/Grab driver may not be familiar with the destination. Show them the location on Google Maps and follow the signs when you get close! We are also arranging shuttle transportation from the i) Renaissance Bali Uluwatu and ii) Grand Hyatt and Westin Nusa Dua. Please email us if you would like to take one of these shuttles. The estate staff can also assist with you with booking a taxi/Grab when you leave the wedding.

What if I have a dietary restriction? Leave a note in the RSVP or feel free to email us!

Where can I find your registry? We are blessed to be living a happy life in the greatest city in the world. We would love nothing more than your presence at our wedding.
(If you’re feeling extra generous, David is happy to accept donations for an A. Lange & Söhne Datograph watch...)

We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
